PCT to hold auditions on September 25-26, 2023

Tejano Christmas Carol Auditions
Have you ever wanted to try acting or do you have experience and time to be in rehearsals and in a fun play? Now is you chance to audition for one of the 20 roles available in Pharr Community Theater’s next play to be presented right before Christmas 2023 --the return of the popular show:
A TEJANO CHRISTMAS CAROL, adapted from the classic Charles Dickens tale.

In our story, Mr. Scrooge becomes Mr. Codos, a mean business man and greedy water broker from the RGV. His avarice is such that it threatens the mighty Rio Grande River to go dry and cause havoc and despair to an entire region. Will the spirits convince him otherwise? The spirits in this fun and heartfelt adaptation include La Rielera de La Revolución Mexicana/A Soldadera and the spirit of a Singer.
The role of Mr. Codos, as well as roles for 12 other adults and 6 children are up for grabs through an audition process. All ages and ethnicities are welcome!
In order to qualify for a part, it’s important you show up to one audition which will be held at Pharr Community Theater, 213 W Newcombe Ave. (Park) Pharr, TX, on September 25 & 26, anytime between 7:00 pm and 9:30 pm.
Auditions are open for anyone to try, children must be accompanied by at least one adult. No audition appointment is necessary and the process will be cold reading from a portion of the script, to be provided at the audition.
Keep in mind all persons chosen must be able to commit to the rehearsal process (more details about rehearsals at the audition) which will run during October, November and December. The play will have up to 8 performances in Pharr, between Dec 6-19. The script is predominately in English with bits of Español. For more information text 956-655-9308
